a semester-long exploration of citicorp center in new york city which includes the cataloging of citicorp tower, st. peter’s lutherian church, and the public plaza. representation methods include digital drawings and hand sketches, photographic collage, and model making.
goals: express the unique geometry in the site’s architecture and urban planning, reflect the delicacy and craft of interior spaces designed by massimo vignelli, display citicorp center’s breadth of uses and clientele, and explore the nuanced relationship between the church, the tower, and its near-disastrous engineering flaw.
